Guests lined up to view the technology behind the scenes at the Francis Crick Institute
Cordless was delighted to jointly host an exclusive technology tour of the Crick’s impressive new centre for biomedical research and innovation in London King’s Cross.
At 1 million sq ft, the Crick is Europe’s largest single site medical research facility, employing 1,500 staff. The building was designed as a highly collaborative smart building to share knowledge and promote serendipity, enabling ground-breaking new research and discovery.
The programme was supported by six of the world’s most influential and respected scientific organisations: Cancer Research UK, the Medical Research Council, The Wellcome Trust, UCL (University College London), Imperial College London and King’s College London.
Cordless worked on the project for 7 years and during that time provided IT and AV Visioning, Strategy, Design, Procurement and Project Management.
The tour was very well attended and covered the technology achievements of this ground-breaking project, taking in the IT and AV technology in meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, the data centre and the auditorium facilities.
The premise of the event was to share some key information, insights and learning outcomes from this flagship and unique project in an informal environment. The event included drinks and networking.
