BE: Welcome on board Ian! Where have you come to Cordless from?
IT: Prior to joining Cordless, I worked for Pearson - the multinational educational publishing company. I was Talent Acquisition Manager there, recruiting for roles in the largest ever global ERP roll out programme.
BE: What interested you about joining Cordless?
IT: The people that I met from Cordless I found to be enthusiastic with great market knowledge. I was interested in the opportunity to work with a respected name in the industry and help to grow the Cordless Resourcing business. I am excited about taking the business forward to help improve the lives of the clients and candidates that we work with.
BE: What do you see are the current challenges for businesses with regards to Talent Acquisition?
IT: With the general paucity of good candidates, recruiting and retaining talent is becoming tougher than ever. Organisations have to look at more than just day to day duties and more at the ongoing career development of individuals within the wider context of job satisfaction, culture, skills and brand.
BE: How will you be using your skills and experience to help Cordless clients?
IT: With 20 years of IT recruitment experience in the London tech market, I will be bringing to bear my industry knowledge and understanding of trends and skillsets within the sector. I have a large active network of candidates that I can call upon. I will enjoy helping candidates get to the right job for them and clients to find the unicorn candidate they have been looking for.
