Business Development Executive required

Telesales, Sales Executive, IT, Technology, New Business, London

As one of the UK’s leading Technology, Innovation and Visioning consultancies, we work closely with organisations to provide specialist input into the built environment and workplace. As a result of our recent success, we are looking for a Telesales and Client Relationship Executive to lead and follow up key opportunities for our Sales Teams across all businesses.

The successful applicant will be based in London and responsible for generating sales leads and developing external relationships, so a keen interest in technology is required. Specific knowledge and training around our sectors will be provided to the successful applicant, so a keenness to learn and develop your own skills is essential to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect daily for new sales leads by leveraging referrals from existing and new clients, inbound leads and cold calling
  • Using telephone, e-mail and social media to research and qualify sales targets - vet qualified prospects by identifying decision-makers, timeline, and budget potential while asking qualifying questions to identify the correct prospect contact
  • Develop and extend relationships within our existing external network, new clients and partners / vendors
  • Communication of brand and consultative solutions to individuals at all levels within the Architectural, Design or Fit Out marketplace
  • Record all customer interactions on the CRM system, cleaning and inputting new data
  • Participate in / attend external events and internal sales meetings, producing daily or weekly reports for the sales team as required

Skills and characteristics

  • A quick learner who is self-motivated with a tenacious approach
  • Passion for technology and innovative ways of working, along with an enthusiasm to develop own knowledge
  • An excellent professional communication manner, both written and verbal
  • A good understanding or experience of the Architectural, Design or Fit Out marketplace preferred but not essential
  • A keen and demonstrable interest in technology and innovative ways of working
  • Focus on being personable, rather than adopting a ‘hard sell’ approach
  • Must be able to multi-task, with strong organisational skills
  • Should be comfortable working for a relatively small and dynamic group of companies, and a good team player
  • Competent with basic Microsoft packages
  • CRM experience, with use of Salesforce advantageous
