24 January 2019
McEwan Hall, The University of Edinburgh
The Association of University Directors of Estates (AUDE) event is a fast paced debate on the current topics surrounding Higher Education. The first theme of the day is: Money, Money, Money – Higher Education finance, do we have control?
The second theme is: ‘The state of the University estate, this is as good as it’s going to get.’ In his session, CEO Cordless Group and UnGroup Philip Ross will challenge this statement, examining the key forces at play in the future of the University Campus.
Philip’s debate will consider busting siloes in a data-driven, app-centric, on-demand world. From the role of the data lake in HE CRE, to MOOCs and BYOD (Buy Your Own Degree), Philip will touch on the changing expectations of Gen Z and how digital is flipping the campus on its head through self-learning and a vision of buildings as social networks. Philip will also look at the role of the University at the centre of future property development through activated precincts and integrated use. HE is ‘hitting digital first’ as its customers are the digital dependents that are en route to the workforce. Get ready to hear and discuss how the campus will need to evolve to adapt to this new domain.
Attendees of the event include Directors of Estates from UK institutions, as well as representatives from suppliers to the sector. It will be a day of knowledge sharing of reflections from their institutions and careers, and innovations and improvements that can be made so that universities can continue to provide the best learning environments for the next generation of students.
If you would like to arrange a time to speak with Cordless about the 2019 AUDE Big Conversation and the workplace technology challenges faced by the Higher Education sector, say: firstname.lastname@example.org
